Norfolk Coast Path Walking Weekend

A last minute weekend away to the Norfolk coast coincided with the temperature dropping to single digits – at least it remained dry for walking part of the Norfolk Coast Path! 🙂

Two nights were spent in Hunstanton, staying at The Burleigh Guesthouse (£70, 2nghts). Friendly owners, clean, comfortable, well-priced accommodation with an awesome breakfast – ticks all the boxes I look for!

Despite the large breakfast I was ready for something substantial for lunch and found The Jolly Sailors in Brancaster Staithe. A pleasant pub with it’s own open fire pizza oven which made my food choice simple!

On reaching the pretty village of Burnham Market I had time for a refreshment before getting the excellent Coasthopper bus service back to Hunstanton to catch the sunset and visit Fishers of Hunstanton for a giant piece of cod with chips!

After clocking up more then 35kms on Saturday I stop for a couple of shorter wanders on Sunday, including from East Runton to Beeston Hill in Sheringham as I head home via the Go Outdoors store in Norwich!
