Leaving Ullapool we head south through yet more stunning scenery, by lochs and over mountains towards the Isle of Skye. We stay at a delightful guesthouse, Atholl House, in Dunvegan, Skye, which served fantastic breakfast and had friendly owners.
Unfortunately the tide was out on Eilean Donan Castle so it was a less spectacular sight than it may have been. But along the way we did enjoy a great lunch at Kishorn Seafood Bar.
We managed to catch some dry weather first thing in the morning to enjoy a wonderful hike and scenery on Skye. Two weeks must be the limit of my knees capability as I start to suffer as we near the car.
The Old School restaurant is a couple of doors down from our accommodation and it is well worth booking for.
The drive from Skye down to Fort William is another one with beautiful scenery out both windows for pretty much the length of the drive!
